Ash is a Registered Nurse certified in critical care. She has worked in large Ontario hospitals as a Professional Practice Leader for Nursing and as an Intensive Care Unit nurse, and also has experience working in family practice, occupational health, and as a flu-shot nurse.

She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with postgraduate RN breastfeeding certification and actively volunteers with La Leche League Canada, the York Region Infant Feeding Coalition, and other local groups to improve health literacy in this area.

Ash’s clinical focus aims to ensure that clients get all the information they need to understand their condition or circumstances, empowering individuals to make evidence-informed decisions that align with their own family values and goals. She works together with clients as partners to optimise outcomes and develops care plans that are rooted in evidence, while also appreciating the realities of your individual circumstances and how this may impact the path to your feeding goals.

Ash is an avid problem solver with special interest in coordinating care for “challenging” cases that perhaps haven’t received the attention they deserve from other providers. She works patiently and with determination to get to the root cause of concerns and empowers the family to find confidence in their capabilities along the way.

Ash creates a safe space for families of all makes and measures.

Ash holds a Masters of Health Sciences in Health Administration from the University of Toronto Institute for Health, Policy, Management and Evaluation and is a Certified Healthcare Executive. She brings a quality improvement and continuous learning mindset to all aspects of her career.
